Over It?

Skateboarding is fun, but I'm slightly over it. I've put in over 100 days this season so i think I'm not insane for not being terribly hungry to get some this time of the year (for those who don't understand that don't worry about it), but I'm still having fun. Back to our original point, skateboarding; Now That's Fun! Actually it was slightly frustrating, being the first day back and all, but being outside skating with friends is hard to rival. Anyways...

I have decided that I need to give more links in my blogposts, since people are only interested in what you have to say when you give them something. Here I have for you:
A 9,000 year old dentist drill

The tragic Mammoth patrollers story

Ghostface's Best Album?

I also give you insane pictures, sometimes.

...but u dont hea'metho...

Yellowstone National Park, Boiling River

Yellowstone National Park is an amazing place to check out. I've been neighbors with it for the past 3 winters and had yet to even go there until yesterday. Most of the park is closed in the winter because the roads are plowed, but some of it is opened. When you go into the park theres a huge arch to go under that Teddy Roosevelt dedicated in the early 1900's. I never liked Teddy that much personally, but his quote on the top of the arch preached certain relevance; "For the Benefit and Enjoyment of the People." About 500 ft past that sign theres a man that wants 20 dollars per vehicle to get inside. I had to call a friend and make sure I didnt go the wrong way.

This is the Boiling River. Where it meets the Gardner River you can soak, and its amazing! It's a mixture of 180 degree volcanic-center of the earth water combining with cold mountain water, so it kinda feels like a really clean and shallow public pool in that respect- lots of different temperature pockets.

Jenny and I had never been to the river before. The whole experience was amazing just to step and think on because we were in this mountain river hotspot and there were bald eagles flying over us, bison on the horizon across the river, and lots of slippery rocks. Honestly I almost fell asleep on the drive home from too much relaxing.

The river was really photogenic....

This is a hot pool at Mammoth Hot Spings. These aren't the kind you want to jump into though.

I didn't stop to read much of the sign because all these pools wreak of sulpher, which smells like rotten eggs, but from what I caught these pools are hosts to millions of microscopic bacteria lifeforms in an entire eco-stratrosphere. That last part I made up. What I got out of it the most was that this was the place where National Geographic gets their shots of this kind of thing.

That's where we're at right now. Only 1 week of resort riding left....
